Job Description:

• The Undergraduate Intern position is a developmental assignment that provides interns with real-time work projects, leadership development opportunities, as well as involvement in corporate social responsibility. Work projects involve assignments that are relevant to American’s current business needs and opportunities. Interns are afforded travel privileges enabling them to connect to the international and domestic destinations that American Airlines serves.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and development of client engagement events
• Analysis, development, and execution of various initiatives, primarily related to our corporate and travel agency customers
• Analysis, development, and execution of various initiatives. These initiatives include customer engagement, division performance, and marketing strategy
• Assist/lead our social media communication projects and corporate philanthropy.
• Division administration tasks
• Competitive analysis
• Presentations to divisional leadership
• Process improvement through business needs identification, requirement information gathering, business problem definition and business process documentation

Job Requirements:

• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a diverse team environment
• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Creative Suite Preferred
• Must exhibit a professional personal presentation and brand, knowledge of information systems analysis and design techniques and database management systems
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Need to be a self-starter, show initiative and facilitate creative problem solving
• The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects with variable timelines and sometimes very tight deadlines
• Current Sophomore or Junior with coursework completed or planned in Sales, Economics, Statistics, Marketing or Management
